Congratulations to the girl's basketball team for making it to the NCAA Tournament! Although Lehigh ultimately lost to the No. 2 seeded Auburn Tigers, it was really exciting to see one of our teams finish such a successful season. It was also fun to see Lehigh being covered by the media and discussed on ESPN.

I agree; I am very proud of the women's basketball team for making it to the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at Rutgers! Although they lost to the Auburn Tigers, they have gone a long way! I am in the marketing class this semester that has been working to promote and increase attendance at the basketball games at Stabler this season, so I've been following the women's team on their way to the NCAA. It is a shame that many students do not attend basketball games because they are a lot of fun. Due to their participation in the NCAA tournament this year, hopefully there will be more attendance at their games next season!
ReplyDeleteI think it was great that Lehigh was covered on ESPN2. I watched the game on Saturday, even though I really despise women's basketball. Lehigh gave it a good try and hopefully the men's and women's programs can be back in the tournament again soon.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that a woman's sports team is being highlighted this year, especially on channels such as ESPN. Even though I only watch football and baseball, I still attend woman's lehigh events to show my support. I think its great that the woman's teams this year are being more advertised which should improve the attendance made to woman's sporting events in the future.
